Fujitsu will be showing the first of its new generation network management products designed to manage the SDH transport and Access network domains. This system uses distributed object technologies, TMN modeling techniques and advanced Web-based GUI concepts to provide integrated network management & services over open standards based interfaces.

HP will demonstrate Network Element Management System for PCS/HLR system as MD (Mediation Device) based on TMN standard, made by HP OpenView/Telecom solution. You will see how the management of Fault and Performance for PCS/HLR network can be operated by HP OpenView/Telecom and other technologies according to Customer's GDMO Specification.

INFORMIX will show Web & Java based technology for TMN on Object Relational DBMS. You will see real-time monitoring demonstration for Network Management (with Daou Tech).

LGIC (LG Information & Communications Ltd.) will demonstrate TMN based PCS Network Management System. This system consists of managing part (Manager) and managed part (Agent). Manager uses Digital TeMIP and Agent uses HP OpenView as their platform to communicate CMIP based on TMN. The Manager collects NE's data from all around the country, so the system observes the Faults, and analyzes the Performance in Real Time. You will see how NE's are intelligently managed by this system.

NEC will exhibit FPGA based OSI management system with high-performance and small-sized feature. Currently, CMIP processing is implemented within a chip, however, even MO handling functionality will be successively added towards all silicon OSI agent systems.

NTT-AT will demonstrate the TNMS Engine which is an environment for the development of TMN-based network management systems. The major characteristics of this product are that it's very useful because it can decreasing the coding work required for program development by 70%, and it can be applied to develop both agent and manager programs.

ONE(Open Networking Engineering, Inc.) will demonstrate a Real-Time Agent Developer toolkit for embedded TMN/CMIP agent. RAD toolkit designed for embedded applications, it has a graphical GDMO browser, C++ code generator from the GDMO/ASN.1 files, and automatically evaluate the generated agent by GUI or test scripts.

ORACLE will show what ORACLE provide the World’s best solutions for Network Operations and Management support on NCA-NETWORK COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE. You will see TMN solutions including Web Application Server, JAVA based tools set, etc. available on ORACLE NCA. NCA transcends the Internet/object standards battle, so customers and developers can make ActiveX, OLE, Java, CORVA, IIOP and other software components work together without getting locked into dead-end solutions.

POSCON will demonstrate ILOG s/w components that deal with alarms occurring on transport networks comprising multiplexes, cross-connects, repeaters, and line terminals. Alarms can be displayed in spreadsheet or chart format. Also displayed are the significant attributes such as the type, probable cause, and severity level. Faulty equipment is also displayed on a graphical map with zooming capabilities.

SICC (Ssangyong Information & Communications Corp.) will demonstrate Integrated Network Management System. It provides Fault Management, Configuration Management, Performance Management, and Security Management functions. It supports proprietary protocol (based on TCP/IP), and role based parsing. It is implemented on C++ class library, Oracle RDBMS, and OSF/Motif.

VERTEL will demonstrate a TMN Fault Management application which interacts with an TMN Embedded CMIP Agent, TMN Agent Simulator and TMN CMIP-TL1 Adaptor. The TMN Fault Management System will manage alarms generated by the CMIP Agents described above. The TMN Agent Simulator is a new addition to the Vertel product line which greatly improve CMIP test and simulation functionality.

The Visual Agent Builder (VAB) provides an integrated development environment with a Graphical User Interface that works with DSET's GDMO Agent Toolkit and Agent Tester. LSMS features 1) fully conformant with NANC 1.2, 2) uses performance enhancing DSET LNP packages, 3) BSAFE Security software, 4) highly distributed architecture, 5) NE routing through one or multiple gateways, 6) adaptable architecture (allows quick addition of new NE interface, 7) Regional database view to LSMS users, and others.
